I performed at the White House!

A week and a half ago, I had the privilege of joining several Armed Services Arts Partnership instructors and graduates (I teach poetry workshops for ASAP) in performing at a celebration of women veterans in the Arts. I was performing my piece “The List,” originally published by Line of Advance and a finalist for their Colonel Darron L. Wright award in 2022. I still need to upload a video to Youtube and link it from here, but for now here are some pics! After a bit of anxiety (okay, a lot of anxiety!), it was a wonderful experience.

Also, I wore a LOVELY hand-painted scarf by the artist Rebecca Gaines, a fellow artist-in-residence from my writer’s residency in January.
