Okay, so you’ve been writing. Now what? Come bounce some of your writing off of fellow chapter members! Form critique groups, or just chat about your WIP to get feedback and ideas on where to steer your story. Grinches also welcome.

I’ll be at the Festival of the Arts both days, overseeing the MWA booth, hosting a children’s activity, and selling my books. Saturday 11:00-6:00, Sunday 12:00-5:00
Urbana Library Teen Program presentation (virtual): Creative Writing & Blogging
MWA Frederick, led by Kari, will be hosting an outdoor open mic night at Sky Stage, emceed by Rod Deacey. Readers and audience members are required to wear masks, social distance, and follow other protocol set forth by MWA and Sky Stage.
Kari Martindale, a nonprofit Scholarship Judge, will introduce a sample scoring matrix and explain the components judges use in scoring. There will be hands-on practice and editing.
MWAFrederick will be hosting a write-in during Nanowrimo. Last year’s write-in was a great success. We had both familiar faces and new faces!
I’ll be featured in Bard Fest 2021, televised by Berks County Television.

I will not be presenting, but our monthly meeting of the Frederick County Chapter of Maryland Writers’ Association will have a great presentation virtually: David Reichenbaugh and Eileen McIntyre (former President of MWA) team up to talk about writing crime and mystery, and take your questions. I’ll be heading to Fairbanks, Alaska for my daughter to do a college visit. During the trip, as we visit a refuge, tour museums of Native culture, etc., I’m looking forward to inspiration for some poetry! Crossing my fingers we catch the Northern Lights… Watch instagram for pics!
